Mudryk returns after more than 600 days! Ukrainian makes Tottenham debut following suspension
Mykhailo Mudryk made his first official appearance for Tottenham Hotspur after a lengthy absence. The Ukrainian winger came on in the third-round Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest, which ended 0-0.
For Mudryk, this was his first competitive match since November 2024. The Ukrainian has therefore returned to professional football after more than 600 days. The footballer had been suspended from playing for the past two years due to doping-related issues, but has now been given the opportunity to return to the pitch.
Before the transfer window closed, Mudryk joined Tottenham from Chelsea on loan. The London club are hoping the Ukrainian can strengthen their attacking options and help improve the team’s results.
His debut came in a difficult match against Nottingham Forest. Neither side managed to break the deadlock, but the point earned allowed Spurs to climb out of the relegation zone. However, the start of the season has been extremely challenging for Roberto De Zerbi’s side. After three rounds, the team have yet to score a single Premier League goal.
