Gianni Infantino is not ready to give up his place at the top of world football.

Details: FIFA has officially confirmed that Gianni Infantino intends to stand for re-election as president of the organization in 2027. The announcement was made by Infantino himself during the 76th FIFA Congress in Vancouver, where he addressed representatives of the federation's 211 member associations.

In his concluding remarks, Infantino made his plans clear, telling the national associations that he would be a candidate in the next FIFA presidential election. He also thanked the members for their support and cooperation during his decade at the head of the organization.

The declaration means that the current FIFA president intends to fight for another term despite the growing political pressure surrounding his leadership. In recent weeks, his position has again become the subject of intense debate amid a major confrontation between FIFA and UEFA.

It is worth noting that Infantino has headed FIFA since February 2016. He subsequently retained the presidency in the following election cycles, including securing his current mandate without an opposing candidate.
