PSG are making sure Luis Enrique has very few reasons to even think about leaving Paris.

Details: Paris Saint-Germain have rewarded Luis Enrique with a spectacular salary increase following the extension of his contract until 2030. According to L'Équipe figures reported by French and Spanish media, the Spaniard's gross annual salary has risen from around €12 million to approximately €20 million, an increase of €8 million per season.

The new terms place Luis Enrique among the highest-paid managers in world football and underline just how strongly PSG value the coach who has transformed the club's sporting fortunes since arriving in 2023.

The scale of the increase has attracted particular attention in Spain. Spanish media described PSG's financial commitment as extraordinary, while El Nacional went even further and claimed that president Nasser Al-Khelaifi was pushed into making a huge effort in order to prevent the possibility of Luis Enrique eventually returning to Barcelona. There is no confirmation that the Catalan club had reached an agreement with the coach, so the Barcelona angle remains a claim from the Spanish outlet rather than an established negotiation.

PSG officially confirmed Luis Enrique's new contract through 2030 on September 4, also announcing extensions for several first-team players. The decision makes clear that the French champions see the Spanish coach as a central figure in their long-term project.

It is worth noting that Luis Enrique joined PSG in 2023 and has since become the most decorated coach in the club's history, with reports crediting him with 13 trophies, including consecutive Champions League triumphs.
