PSG appears to be moving closer to leaving their current home, the Parc des Princes, in favor of building a new stadium. Club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has shed light on the reasoning behind this decision.

Details: According to the Qatari chairman, the decision stems from the Paris authorities, who own the Parc des Princes, refusing to grant permission for the stadium's expansion and renovation.

Quote:

"I really like the Parc des Princes, everyone loves it. If I decide with my heart, I say: we don't leave. But when I think with my head, we are dead."

"In Europe, all major clubs have 80,000 seats. If we want to be at this level for our supporters, we must expand the stadium."

"We have no other solution... we are going to leave. We have no choice. The city leaves us no choice. It's a decision of the city because we can't do what we want in the stadium."

The Parc des Princes currently holds 48,583 spectators.

Reminder: Yesterday, it was announced that PSG reached an agreement to extend Achraf Hakimi’s contract.
