The Democratic Republic of the Congo unveils its squad to face Mauritania in the first round of the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers

The Democratic Republic of the Congo’s U-23 national team will play a two-legged tie on 28 September and 6 October.

The Young Leopards are set to begin their qualifying campaign for the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations, which will take place in Egypt in 2027. In the first round of these qualifiers, the Democratic Republic of the Congo will face Mauritania.

The first leg is scheduled for 28 September in Mauritania, whilst the return leg will take place on 6 October in the DRC. The winner of this first round will continue their bid to qualify for the tournament scheduled to take place in Egypt next year.

With just a few weeks to go before the first leg, the DR Congo U-23 manager, Guy Bukasa, has revealed the names of the players who will take part in these fixtures. However, before facing Mauritania, the DR Congo U-23 national team will hold a training camp in Morocco.

Guy Bukasa and his coaching staff will fine-tune their team’s play before kicking off their qualifying campaign.
