Achraf Hakimi was unable to continue in Paris Saint-Germain’s match against Brest on Sunday 13 September in Ligue 1. The Moroccan international had to be substituted in the 39th minute during the Parisians’ away fixture at the Stade Francis-Le Blé as part of matchday 4 of the French league.

The day after the injury, Paris Saint-Germain provided an update on the Moroccan’s condition. According to a statement from the Parisian club, Achraf Hakimi has sustained a minor injury to his right thigh.

The Moroccan international will undergo treatment over the next two days, before a further medical assessment is carried out. The French club has not yet announced a return date; the next steps will depend on how the injury progresses over the coming days.
