Nottingham Forest has joined Everton in the race to sign Fenerbahce striker Youssef En-Nesyri.
Details: According to Florian Plettenberg, Nottingham Forest is considering Moroccan forward Youssef En-Nesyri as one of the options to bolster their attacking line. However, within Fenerbahce, there is a belief that the player prefers a move to Everton.
It is reported that En-Nesyri's agents and Everton are continuing negotiations, with the Merseyside club having already submitted an official loan request for the player. Talks between the clubs are expected to continue today.
Fenerbahce, in turn, is open to discussing both a loan agreement and a permanent transfer for the striker. The final decision will depend on the terms of the deal and the player's own wishes.
It's worth noting that En-Nesyri is currently representing his national team at the Africa Cup of Nations, where he has featured in all five matches for Morocco but has yet to register a goal or assist. Today, he and his Moroccan teammates will play a semifinal clash against Nigeria. Kick-off is at 21:00 Central European Time.
Before heading to the Africa Cup of Nations, the forward played 25 matches for the Istanbul club, scoring eight goals and providing one assist. Transfermarkt values him at €22 million.
Reminder: Manchester City has opened talks with Nottingham Forest over the transfer of midfielder Elliot Anderson.
