John Aldridge confessed that he was "hurt" by the behavior of some Liverpool fans who booed Trent Alexander-Arnold during the match against Arsenal. The former striker's words were quoted by the club's official website.

Details: Right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose contract with Liverpool expires this summer, is expected to leave the club as a free agent and join Real Madrid. In the recent clash against Arsenal (2-2), Trent came on as a substitute for Conor Bradley, but mixed reactions echoed from the Anfield stands—some supporters booed the player.

This response sparked a wave of criticism—most notably, Jamie Carragher, former Liverpool defender and Sky Sports pundit, spoke out in support of Alexander-Arnold. Aldridge, in turn, admitted that it was "painful to witness such treatment of a player who has given so much to the club."

Trent also received backing from his long-time teammate, Scottish left-back Andy Robertson, who highlighted Alexander-Arnold's contribution to the club's success.

Reminder: Former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson previously reported that Alexander-Arnold's move to Real Madrid is virtually complete.
