Another England international on the radar. Real Madrid preparing a high-profile €70m transfer

Real Madrid are showing serious interest in Bayer defender Jarell Quansah. According to Marca, the Englishman is on the list of defensive players the Madrid club is considering to strengthen the squad next summer.

Quansah belongs to Liverpool and is playing for Bayer on loan. Madrid highly value the versatility of the 23-year-old defender, who is capable of operating in several positions across the back line.

However, a potential transfer could cost the Madrid club a significant fee. Quansah's contract with the Reds includes a €70 million release clause, which is valid until June 15.

As a result, Real Madrid will have to make a decision fairly quickly if the club truly wants to sign the England international on a permanent basis. However, Madrid are not the only contenders for Quansah — other European clubs are also interested in the player.
