Ivory Coast Young Star Yan Diomande Named Man of the Match in Real Madrid 1-0 Win Over Villarreal

Ivory Coast international Yan Diomande has been officially crowned the Man of the Match as the winger opened his Real Madrid scoring account this season.

In the 8th round of La Liga, Real Madrid claimed a narrow 1-0 win over Villarreal at the Santiago Bernabéu, with Brazilian forward Vinícius Jr. receiving a red card in the 73rd minute. The goal was initially disallowed; VAR intervention led the referee to overturn the decision, making it his first goal in a Real Madrid shirt. The goal was Diomande's first goal of the season.

The Los Blancos now remain six points behind La Liga leaders Barcelona and one point behind Atlético Madrid.
