A €100 million rejection! Bayern star Pavlovic turns down Manchester City’s generous offer
The English giants were ready to splash a colossal sum on one of the brightest midfielders of the new generation.
Details: Manchester City had been actively working since March on the transfer of 22-year-old Bayern Munich midfielder Aleksandar Pavlovic and were prepared to pay up to €100 million for the player. This was reported by journalists from Sky Sport and Bild.
According to insiders, representatives of the Manchester club held detailed consultations with the player’s camp long before Bouaddi and Fernandez joined the English champions’ squad. Bayern’s chiefs were made aware that the Cityzens were ready to spend a colossal amount to sign the key German midfielder.
The midfielder himself was flattered by the interest and seriously considered the offer. However, Pavlovic ultimately gave a categorical refusal, choosing to remain loyal to the club. As a result, official contact between the teams never took place.
It is worth noting that Aleksandar Pavlovic came through every level of Bayern’s academy and rapidly established himself as a pivotal defensive midfielder for both the Munich club and the Germany national team.
