He's not done with Lyon! Endrick's former club wants him back on loan
The January loan saga around Real Madrid's Brazilian jewel has gained a sentimental new bidder. One of Endrick's former clubs has decided it wants its prodigy back.
Details: According to Cadena SER, Lyon would reportedly be delighted with a new loan for Endrick. The French side hosted the 20-year-old Brazilian in the second half of last season and is now hoping to repeat the arrangement in the winter transfer window.
The pull of a Lyon reunion is easy to understand. Between December 2025 and June 2026, Endrick enjoyed the most productive stretch of his young career at the Groupama Stadium, scoring eight goals in 21 matches in all competitions with five goals and seven assists in 16 Ligue 1 games, after arriving from Madrid for a €1 million loan fee with Lyon covering half of his salary. Paulo Fonseca was so impressed that in January he publicly urged the club to do everything possible to extend the spell, only for Real Madrid, then coached by Álvaro Arbeloa, to insist on the Brazilian's return. Since coming back, Endrick's situation has barely improved under José Mourinho: he has struggled for minutes behind a star-studded attack and even told the club he wanted to leave in August. That frustration has opened the door to a crowded January market. Roma have been in constant contact with Madrid and plan face-to-face talks with the Spanish club's hierarchy around the Champions League meeting on October 14, while Milan, led by Gerry Cardinale, joined the race earlier this month and see the Brazilian as the ideal attacking reinforcement. Lyon, with the player already proven in their system and the player's affection for the city, now believe they can offer the smoothest path. Real Madrid, who invested €47.5 million to sign him from Palmeiras, still hold a contract until 2030 and prefer a loan without a purchase option, meaning the final decision rests with the Bernabéu boardroom.
It's worth noting that Endrick's Lyon numbers remain the strongest evidence of his potential: his 12 goal involvements in Ligue 1 last season outstripped anything he has produced in Madrid, which is precisely why Les Gones are dreaming of a reunion while Italian clubs circle.
Reminder: Secret Champions League talks: Roma keen to lure Endrick away from Real Madrid.
