Crystal Palace's FA Cup victory shuts out four Premier League clubs from European football

The FA Cup final delivered a stunning upset as Crystal Palace defeated Manchester City 1-0 at Wembley, clinching the first major trophy in the club’s history.
This result has dramatically reshaped the European qualification landscape for English clubs. Thanks to the Eagles’ triumph, they now claim one of England’s two Europa League spots, joining the sixth-placed team from the Premier League. Meanwhile, the club finishing seventh will earn a ticket to the Europa Conference League.
Had City, who are all but guaranteed a top-five league finish, lifted the trophy, seventh place would have granted a Europa League berth, and eighth would have secured a Conference League slot. Now, however, the team finishing eighth will miss out on European football entirely. This is a major blow to the hopes of Brentford, Brighton, Bournemouth, and Fulham, who still had a mathematical shot at eighth place. With Palace’s shock victory, their European dreams have been dashed.
