New option at left-back. Premier League side identified as reinforcement for Manchester United
Bournemouth defender Adrien Truffert continues to receive high praise for his performances in the Premier League, and he has now surprisingly been linked with Manchester United. talkSPORT pundit Jason Cundy considers the 24-year-old Frenchman one of the best left-backs in the division and has urged the Red Devils to take notice of him.
Truffert enjoyed an excellent campaign last season, featuring in all 38 Premier League matches and becoming the only Bournemouth outfield player to start every game. He contributed one goal and five assists.
According to Opta, the Frenchman was also included in the league’s Team of the Season. He made 103 tackles and 48 interceptions, while covering 402.59 kilometres over the course of the campaign. Truffert also made more than 50 runs down the flank — the best tally among players in the league.
The pundit also believes Manchester United should compete for the Frenchman’s signature. The club’s main target remains Lewis Hall, although Alejandro Balde, David Raum and Antonee Robinson have previously been considered as alternatives.
