For now, there is no indication that negotiations over a farewell game are taking place. Messi remains active at club level with Inter Miami. Earlier in September, the Argentine returned to MLS action after announcing the end of his international career, meaning his football continues in the United States even as questions about the final chapter of his playing days grow louder.
It is worth noting that Messi is under contract with Inter Miami through the end of the 2028 MLS season.
