Barcelona aren't ruling out another move away from Camp Nou and are considering a possible return to Montjuïc in 2027, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The stadium renovations are still unfinished. By April 2027, Barcelona plans to complete construction of all three tiers of roofing, but for the final stage—installing the full roof covering—the club will have to temporarily vacate the arena. This process is expected to take around four months and would affect the start of the 2027/28 season.
The club's management intends to discuss the matter with the Barcelona city council. A final decision will be made closer to 2027, but at this point, the Montjuïc option appears to be one of the most probable scenarios.
It’s worth recalling that since their long-awaited return to the revamped Camp Nou in November, Hansi Flick's side has been in excellent form—Barcelona have won all of their home matches and are looking to extend their successful run. The club recently received approval to increase the stadium's capacity to 62,000 spectators, and after the full reconstruction is finished, that number is expected to climb close to the 100,000 mark.
