Catalan giants Barcelona have taken a step toward keeping Robert Lewandowski at the club by offering the striker a new contract, although the Polish forward’s future remains uncertain.
According to Sport, Barcelona’s proposal includes a significant reduction in Lewandowski’s fixed salary—almost by half. However, the deal features bonus incentives, meaning the striker’s total earnings could still see a substantial boost. Club president Joan Laporta has previously spoken publicly in favor of retaining the veteran forward.
It’s worth noting that Lewandowski continues to attract interest from clubs outside Spain. Juventus and AC Milan are reportedly among the suitors, along with several Saudi Arabian teams. The option of moving to MLS remains on the table as well, with Chicago Fire previously linked to the Polish goal machine.
