Done deal! Guler commits his future to Madrid until 2032 after stunning start
Real Madrid's Turkish jewel is staying put: Arda Guler has agreed a new contract that will keep him at the Bernabeu until 2032.
Details: According to Fabrizio Romano, the agreement is done and set to be announced soon, a six-year deal valid until June 2032 with all conditions accepted by the player. Diario AS first reported the talks, capping a summer in which the 21 year old was linked with a move away after Madrid splashed 100 million euros on Yan Diomande.
The renewal is a reward for a player who has forced his way into Jose Mourinho's plans. After an injury-hit start to life in Spain and loan talk that would not go away, Guler broke out last season, was named the Champions League's young player of the 2025-26 campaign and started this one with a goal and an assist in Madrid's opening La Liga games. Madrid had already shown their faith by rejecting an 80 million euro offer from Saudi Arabia in May, and this extension, following Vinicius Junior's new deal to 2032, locks in the spine of Mourinho's project for years. For Turkey's biggest talent since the golden generation, the Bernabeu is now officially home until his late twenties.
It's worth noting that Guler cost Madrid just 20 million euros from Fenerbahce in 2023, and he even asked the club to pay above his release clause so his former side would receive more.
Reminder: Real Madrid fans suspect Mbappe may have left Spain before the match!
