In the matchday 7 clash of the Champions League, Barcelona secured a victory over Slavia Prague. Forward Robert Lewandowski netted the Catalans’ final goal of the match, etching his name into the annals of Spanish football history.
Details: At the moment he scored, Lewandowski was 37 years and 153 days old. According to Opta, this makes him the second-oldest player to score in the Champions League for a Spanish club, trailing only Sergio Ramos, who found the net for Sevilla in December 2023 at 37 years and 257 days old.
It's also worth noting that the Polish striker made headlines for another reason, as he scored the first own goal of his career in the same match.
Reminder: The recovery timeline for Barcelona midfielder Pedri has been revealed.
