Kylian Mbappé has made his priorities at Real Madrid crystal clear.

Details: Speaking to CBS Sports after Real Madrid's Champions League victory over Inter, the French forward was asked which achievement would mean more to him — winning the Ballon d'Or or lifting the Champions League with the Madrid club. Mbappé did not hesitate:

“Winning the Champions League with Real Madrid is more important to me than the Ballon d’Or.”

The striker explained that winning Europe's biggest club competition with Real Madrid is his main objective. Mbappé described the Spanish giants as the club of his dreams and stressed that lifting the Champions League trophy in Madrid is something he wants more than anything.

At the same time, the Frenchman did not dismiss his chances of claiming football's most prestigious individual award. He admitted that the current year represents a major opportunity to win the Ballon d'Or, but made it clear that collective success with Real Madrid remains above personal recognition in his list of priorities.

Mbappé started the new Champions League campaign by scoring against Inter at the Santiago Bernabéu, helping Real Madrid secure a 2-1 victory in their opening league-phase match.

It is worth noting that the goal against Inter took Mbappé to 71 Champions League goals. The Frenchman moved level with legendary Real Madrid striker Raúl González in fifth place on the tournament's all-time scoring list.
