2025 AFCON: Jean-Jacques Ndala appointed referee for Senegal-Morocco final
The referee for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final has been announced. The Confederation of African Football has appointed a Congolese trio to officiate this crucial match.
Jean-Jacques Ndala has the great responsibility of officiating the final between Senegal and Morocco on 18 January at the Moulaye Abdallah Stadium in Rabat. He will be the centre referee for this highly anticipated match at 7pm GMT. A FIFA referee since 2013, the Congolese official will be officiating his fourth Africa Cup of Nations since making his debut in the tournament in 2019.
Jean-Jacques Ndala has refereed World Cup qualifying matches. He has also officiated matches in the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup.
The Congolese referee will be assisted this Sunday in Rabat by two of his compatriots, Guylain Ngila and Mwanya Mbilizi. South African Tom Abongile will be the fourth official, while Gabonese Pierre Ghislian Atcho will be in charge of VAR, assisted by Styven Moyo.
