Apart from a few niggles for Bara Sapoko Ndiaye, the rest of the squad are doing well.

Senegal faced the United States on 31 May in an international friendly. The match, played in Charlotte and which ended in defeat for the Lions of Teranga, did not result in any major injuries to the Senegalese players. This was the assurance given by Senegal’s manager, Pape Thiaw, at a press conference. However, the young midfielder Bara Sapoko Ndiaye, who was making his debut for the Lions of Teranga, did not come through unscathed. The 18-year-old forward suffered a few niggles during the match.

“All the players who took part in the match came through it well, apart from Bara who suffered from cramps. Nothing serious; the medical staff will look after him.”

Senegal will play a second friendly match before kicking off their campaign at the World Cup co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico. That match will see the Lions of Teranga take on Saudi Arabia on 10 June.
