"Only those with character miss. Always keep your head high, brother. Football always offers a chance for redemption, and you've given us far more than you lost today," Ramos wrote on Instagram.
The Spaniard stressed he will always support Diaz:
"Come back even stronger for the next match! You're always in my team," added the defender, expressing his backing and confidence in the player's future.
Notably, Diaz's miss proved decisive in the Africa Cup of Nations final, with Morocco losing 0-1 to Senegal.
