Pape Thiaw makes history in Senegalese football
The Senegalese coach has won two continental titles with his country
The former Senegalese international has made history in his country's football. He has now won two titles for Senegal.
In 2023, Pape Thiaw led the Senegalese national team to victory in the African Nations Championship (CHAN). He was the head coach of the team that competed and won the trophy in this tournament, which brings together local players from across the African continent.
Three years later, Thiaw led the Lions of Teranga to victory in the 2025 African Cup of Nations. The former Senegalese international's team defeated none other than Morocco, the host country.
With these two victories as coach, Pape Thiaw is writing Senegalese football history.
