Elite One: Colombe beat Unisport

A crucial victory in the title race.

Colombe have reignited the battle for the Cameroonian professional league title. Facing league leaders Unisport this Thursday at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde, the reigning Elite One champions dictated the pace of the game. At home, Colombe dominated proceedings on matchday 22.

Jude Enow opened the scoring in the 5th minute, making it 1-0. However, Unisport’s response was not long in coming. Achille Fokem levelled the score in the 21st minute, making it 1-1.

However, Randy Ntuwe doubled Colombe’s lead in the 30th minute, making it 2-1, before Patrick Edzimbi sealed the victory in the 90+4th minute, 3-1.

Thanks to this victory, Colombe are now three points behind leaders Unisport at the end of matchday 22.
