Pape Thiaw unveils Senegal’s official World Cup squad

Bara Sapako Ndiaye has been selected, whilst Moustapha Mbow and Ilay Camara have been left out.

Senegal’s final squad for the World Cup, co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, has been unveiled. 26 Lions of Teranga have been selected by manager Pape Thiaw.

The big surprise on this list is Bara Sapako Ndiaye. The young striker, currently on loan at Bayern Munich, will play in his first World Cup at just 18 years of age. Although he has made only four appearances for Bayern Munich since his arrival, he has impressed Pape Thiaw.

However, Moustapha Mbow and Ilay Camara will not be part of the squad travelling to the US. Although they were on the provisional list, they have been dropped.
