Details: Today, the statistical portal Opta shared on its X social media page a prediction from a supercomputer, which, after running countless calculations, has selected its winner for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to artificial intelligence, Spain has the highest probability of lifting the trophy—17%. Runners-up from the last World Cup, France, come in second, with the supercomputer giving them a 14.1% chance to win the tournament.
Completing the top three contenders is England, whose chances are rated at 11.8%.
The reigning world champions, Argentina, find themselves only in fourth place, with an 8.7% chance. Portugal, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, is ranked sixth with a 6.6% probability of success.
