The Spanish national team has secured its place at the World Cup in the USA, Mexico, and Canada.
Details: Spain drew 2-2 with Turkey in the final round of qualification, with Dani Olmo and Mikel Oyarzabal getting on the scoresheet to earn "La Roja" the result they needed.

For Spain to miss out, they would have had to lose by a six-goal margin—a scenario that seemed impossible. Nevertheless, Spain's head coach Luis de la Fuente didn't take any chances and fielded nearly his strongest lineup, making just four changes from the previous match: Marcos Llorente, Alex Garcia, Yeremy Pino, and Dani Olmo.
Turkey gave it their all but finished the qualifying campaign in second place in the group and will now head to the playoffs.
With this result, “La Roja” extends an impressive run: 14 consecutive appearances at the World Cup finals—an achievement matched only by Germany, Argentina, and Brazil. Spain enters the tournament as reigning European champions and hopes to replicate the glory of 2010.
Reminder: Xavi has joined the coalition against Joan Laporta.
