Morgan Rogers has made an impressive start to the season with Chelsea and is already being talked about as one of the best signings of the summer. The England midfielder has registered seven goal contributions in his first six appearances for the club — three goals and four assists.
Rogers has scored against Fulham, Arsenal and Hull City, while also providing three assists in the match against Leeds. The game against Brighton also brought him an assist. The only match at the start of the season in which the player failed to score or provide an assist was against Luton.
Rogers' achievement is particularly impressive in the context of Chelsea's history. According to Opta, he has become the fifth player in the club's history to score or provide an assist in each of the team's first four Premier League matches.
Before Rogers, the feat had been achieved by Didier Drogba in the 2010/11 season, Cesc Fàbregas in 2014/15, Diego Costa in the 2014/15 and 2016/17 seasons, and Eden Hazard in 2018/19.
