Yassir Zabiri is on fire for Racing Santander in La Liga

The Moroccan striker shone with a brace against Deportivo Alaves to secure victory for his side on matchday 5 of the Spanish league.

Whilst Racing Santander had been trailing 1–0 since the 18th minute against Deportivo Alaves at the El Sardinero stadium, Yassir Zabiri turned the game around to secure all three points. The Moroccan international first equalised in the 38th minute to make it 1–1.

Racing Santander and Deportivo Alaves went into the break level. But after the break, Yassir Zabiri turned the match in his team’s favour. The Moroccan international found the net again in the 53rd minute to put Racing Santander ahead, 2–1.

These two goals secured Racing Santander’s victory over Deportivo Alaves at the El Sardinero stadium on 12 September, on matchday 5 of the Spanish La Liga. Yassir Zabiri has now scored five La Liga goals for Racing Santander.

The Moroccan is the league’s second-highest goalscorer, level with Sergio Camello and just behind Raphinha.
