Ronaldo has left his fans intrigued.
Details: The 40-year-old forward for Saudi club Al-Nassr and the Portugal national team, Cristiano Ronaldo, recently stated at an awards ceremony that it doesn't matter to him where he scores his goals, and hinted that a return to a European league is quite possible.
Ronaldo is determined to reach the milestone of 1,000 career goals. Currently sitting at 956, the Portuguese icon needs consistent playing time to achieve this feat. According to Ronaldo, he doesn't care where he gets that game time:
"My passion is strong, and I want to keep going. It doesn't matter where I play, in the Middle East or in Europe. I always enjoy playing football, and I want to continue. I will definitely reach that number (1,000 goals) as long as I stay injury-free," Ronaldo admitted.
Ronaldo's current contract with Al-Nassr runs until 2027. However, the Portuguese superstar may leave Saudi Arabia to hit the 1,000-goal mark if he loses his spot in the starting lineup.
