Cristiano Ronaldo found himself at the centre of a funny moment during the fifth-round Saudi Pro League match between Al-Ittihad and Al-Nassr. The 41-year-old Portuguese forward tried to sneak a look at the tactical instructions written on a piece of paper held by Danilo.
Ronaldo spotted the note in his opponent's hands and was keen to find out exactly what the coaching staff had written. The forward tried to look over Danilo's shoulder, but the Al-Nassr captain's curiosity was quickly noticed. Both players were then unable to hold back their smiles.
The amusing moment helped to lighten the mood, but there was little for Al-Nassr to laugh about on the pitch. Ronaldo's side dropped points for the first time this season, losing 2-1 to Al-Ittihad.
The hero of the match was Youssoufou Niakate, who scored twice to secure victory for his team. Al-Nassr could only respond with one goal, scored by Ângelo, but it was not enough to prevent their first league defeat.
Ronaldo himself failed to register a goal or assist. The Portuguese forward has made four Saudi Pro League appearances this season, scoring two goals.
