Unexpected twist: Bayern Munich find buyer for star player
Bayern Munich are continuing to explore the possibility of selling Sacha Boey before the Saudi Arabian transfer window closes. According to journalist Christian Falk, the Munich club are already in talks with representatives of several Saudi Pro League sides.
The French defender’s contract with Bayern runs until 2028, but the player himself is open to continuing his career in Saudi Arabia. The transfer window in the Saudi league remains open until Sunday, so Boey still has time to leave Germany.
Earlier, a move for the 25-year-old to Everton collapsed on the final day of the European transfer window. Bayern also failed to agree a permanent deal for Boey with Galatasaray, where he spent the second half of last season on loan. The Frenchman scored two goals in 17 appearances.
Boey joined Bayern in January 2024 and has since made 37 appearances for the Munich club, scoring once. Meanwhile, Vincent Kompany prefers Konrad Laimer and Josip Stanišić at right-back, with Joshua Kimmich also able to fill in there when required.
