Worrying news for the Sky Blue faithful.

Details: According to Motivaciones Fútbol, just hours before their World Cup showdown against Spain, the Uruguay national team is in the grips of a serious internal crisis.

Sources report that a group of team leaders—including Sergio Rochet, Manuel Ugarte, Rodrigo Bentancur, and Federico Valverde—met with head coach Marcelo Bielsa to voice their dissatisfaction with the current training regime.

The players feel that the intensity of the sessions has been excessive, directly leading to a spate of injuries within the squad. There’s also a rift over tactics for the Spain match: the players pushed for a more defensive approach and counterattacks, while Bielsa remains steadfast in his own strategy.

Reports suggest that during a lengthy team meeting, several players walked out, and attempts by José María Giménez to smooth things over proved unsuccessful.

Bielsa himself commented on the situation:

"I brought injured players to the World Cup, but those players were loyal to me."

Uruguay’s star defender Ronald Araújo also spoke out against Bielsa, stating:

"God willing, we’ll get out of the group, but this can’t go on any longer."

Currently, Uruguay sits second in Group H and must defeat Spain to advance.

Reminder: The most gentlemanly team! Cape Verde national squad commits just 5 fouls in two matches—a new record
