Mostafa Shobeir extends his contract with Al Ahly SC until 2029
The Red Devils have officially announced the extension of the Egyptian international’s contract with Africa’s most successful club.
This extension brings an end to several weeks of uncertainty surrounding the future of Mostafa Shobeir, who had been courted by several European clubs following his impressive performances for the Egyptian national team at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Despite this interest, the Egyptian international goalkeeper has chosen to continue his career with Al Ahly, the club he has been playing for since 2019. Mostafa Shobeir is now under contract with Al Ahly until June 2029.
Since making his professional debut for Al Ahly, Mostafa Shobeir has established himself as one of the Egyptian club’s key players. The 26-year-old goalkeeper has proved his worth in the league and the CAF Champions League with the Red Devils.
With this contract extension, Al Ahly has ensured it retains one of its key players for the long term.
