Rayon Sports FC have arrived in Cameroon for their match against Panthere FC in the CAF Confederation Cup
The Rwandan club settled in Yaoundé a few days before the first leg of the first qualifying round.
Rayon Sports FC landed in Cameroon on Tuesday 1 September. Rwanda’s representative in the 2026–2027 CAF Confederation Cup is now looking forward to Friday 4 September for the kick-off of its match against Panthere FC, the Cameroon Cup champions.
But whilst waiting for 4 September, Rayon Sports FC is putting the finishing touches to its preparations on Cameroonian soil. The Rwandan side held its first training session upon arrival on Tuesday at the Omnisport Annex 1 stadium.
The players will continue to train in Yaoundé under the guidance of the coaching staff. Rayon Sports FC are aiming to get their continental campaign off to the best possible start away from home ahead of the return leg in Kigali.
The match promises to be decisive for both teams, each of whom will be looking to put themselves in a strong position ahead of the return leg.
