Magesi FC coach Allan Freese on whether he will remain in charge should they lose to Kaizer Chiefs: I am not sure but that's up to the management
Allan Freese is not sure whether he is guaranteed to remain the Magesi FC coach should they lose to Kaizer Chiefs tomorrow evening.
Actually, this question was asked based on the fact that basement teams do not waste time in changing coaches should results be hard to come by.
And that’s where Magesi find themselves in. bottom placed and no positive results.
Dikwena Tsa Meetse have been flattering to deceive since the arrival of Freese and have only won once in the six matches the coach has been in charge of.
On Saturday, it looked like they were to earn a point against Sekhukhune United at the New Peter Mokaba but lost out at the death as a point in that game could have seen them move away from the bottom spot.
Freese though said the club management knows his future ahead of the match against Amakhosi at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium tomorrow.
“Well, I don’t know, it’s up to the management,” Freese told the media.
“But I think management must also see what is going on in the field. They mustn’t look at the coach; they must look at what is going on in the field. When I am telling you we had 13 chances to score against Sekhukhune.”
Against Chiefs in the first round, Magesi lost 2-0, but Freese said that score-line did not reflect their efforts on the day.
“I don’t think the last game when we played away against Chiefs we did badly, I don’t believe so,” he said.
“It was also a matter of not putting the ball in the back of the net. It was also the same problem. So we will work on it week in, week out, encouraging people to take shots at goals. So we will go back and still encourage the players.”
