Kaizer Chiefs Cedric Kaze on his those questions his coaching credentials: I am fortunate to be coaching a big team like Chiefs coming from Burundi
Cedric Kaze has revealed both the blessing and burden of being a Kaizer Chiefs coach.
The Burundian-born coach disclosed how social media is belittling his credentials as non-deserving to be coaching the Betway Premiership side.
Kaze also revealed how fortunate he is to be in charge of such an enormous club having being born in a tiny country in West Africa.
“You know, I know football is quite difficult and social media and everyone thinks their opinions are important but the biggest thing is the trust we have from the club and the trust we have in ourselves,” Kaze said after Chiefs’ 2-0 win over TS Galaxy on Sunday.
“I was going to say what others said before, it’s the biggest club in South Africa, I was born in a small country, Burundi — what are the odds that I’d be here? Which means I have been in very big spaces and these comments don’t hurt me personally.
“I know what I am capable of and with the trust that we have from the club, we will do everything we can do to place the team where it belongs.”
