Musiala makes important statement after losing consciousness
Jamal Musiala has moved to calm fears after another frightening episode on the pitch.
Details: The Bayern Munich midfielder addressed supporters after collapsing during the friendly against FC Heidenheim, only a few days after a similar incident against RB Leipzig. Musiala began his message by stressing that he is doing well and thanked everyone who had sent him messages of support.
According to Musiala, doctors have diagnosed brief, temporary episodes of absence caused by a neurological dysfunction. The midfielder explained that the condition is easily treatable and can lead to moments like those recently seen against Leipzig and Heidenheim. Although such episodes can look frightening from the outside, he said they are currently simply part of his everyday life.
The 23-year-old added that he is receiving the best possible medical care and remains very optimistic. Musiala also stressed that, according to the information available to him and his doctors, the condition does not carry an additional health risk. Bayern and the people closest to the player are supporting him throughout the process.
Musiala said it was his personal wish to continue living his normal life and playing football. He made that decision in close consultation with specialists and with the approval of neurologists, taking responsibility for the choice himself. The German midfielder believes continuing to pursue victories and trophies with his teammates is one of the things that helps him most.
He also asked supporters to respect his privacy and said he would prefer to discuss the matter only with his closest confidants, Bayern and the medical specialists.
It is worth noting that Musiala's current contract with Bayern Munich runs until June 30, 2030.
Reminder: Terrifying scenes again! Musiala collapses on the pitch for the second time in three days
