Al Hilal have finally turned their pursuit of Ollie Watkins into a formal offer.
Details: According to renowned insider Fabrizio Romano, Al Hilal have submitted an official bid to Aston Villa for English striker Ollie Watkins. The proposal is worth €45 million as a total package, with add-ons already included in that figure. The 30-year-old forward is keen on the possibility of moving to Saudi Arabia, but the final decision now rests with Aston Villa.
The Saudi club have already tried to make progress in the deal before. Villa rejected two previous approaches from Al Hilal, but the Riyadh side have now taken the next step by putting an official financial proposal on the table.
Watkins' willingness to consider the move could become an important factor in the negotiations, although there is still no indication that Aston Villa have accepted the offer. For now, the Birmingham club remain in control of the striker's future and must decide whether the €45 million package is enough to sanction his departure.
It is worth noting that Watkins finished the 2025/26 season with 21 goals in 55 appearances across all competitions for Aston Villa. Transfermarkt currently values the England international at €25 million.
