Burnley have made their decision regarding the new head coach.
Details: According to TEAMtalk, Burnley's management has chosen 45-year-old Steven Gerrard as the club's new head coach.
It is reported that Craig Bellamy, who previously worked within Burnley's structure and is now the head coach of the Wales national team, was initially considered the main candidate. However, Bellamy gave a firm rejection to Burnley's management, stating that he wishes to focus on his national team duties.

As a result, Burnley ruled out other candidates and confirmed Gerrard as the leading contender for the managerial position.
Despite being relatively young for a manager, Gerrard already boasts considerable coaching experience. He previously managed Liverpool, Aston Villa, Rangers, and most recently Al-Ettifaq, a club he left in January 2025 and has been out of work since.
Currently, Burnley sit in the relegation zone, and only a miracle can save them from dropping down to the Championship.
