“I’m open to any discussion,” says Hervé Renard regarding his future with the Tunisian national team
Appointed in the midst of the World Cup following the Tunisian national team’s chaotic start in Group F, the French manager is leaving the door open to all possibilities.
Hervé Renard’s future with the Tunisian national team remains uncertain. The 57-year-old manager, appointed on 16 June following Sabri Lamouchi’s sacking in the middle of the 2026 World Cup, is not expected to stay for very long. The French tactician is expected to leave the coaching staff of the Eagles of Carthage after the 2026 World Cup.
However, when asked about the matter at a press conference ahead of Tunisia’s match against the Netherlands on the third and final day of the group stage, Hervé Renard suggested that anything is possible.
“The time will come for everyone, including the federation to take stock. I am open to any discussion and ready to listen to the plans. Tunisian football is highly respected in Africa; there have always been some very good teams. Qualifying for the World Cup three times in a row is no mean feat.”
