One of the world's leading footballers has weighed in on the endless debate among fans about who is the planet's greatest player.
Details: In a recent interview, he displayed rare humility, refusing to place himself on the same level or in opposition to the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo.
"I don't see Cristiano or any other player as my competitor. For me, they are all colleagues, because we share the same goal," the footballer stated.
According to him, a healthy sporting atmosphere is built on mutual respect, not on trying to prove personal superiority over other professionals.
When asked about his place in football history, the player emphasized that self-admiration is foreign to him.
"It's not for me to judge whether I'm the best or not—that's for people to decide. My grandfather taught me one thing I'll never forget: men shouldn't talk about themselves," he added, referring to an important life lesson he learned in childhood.
Reminder: Cristiano Ronaldo could leave Al-Nassr after the World Cup.
