Atletico Madrid head coach Diego Simeone, who is about to celebrate his 15th anniversary with the Spanish club, has openly stated that he can see himself on Inter Milan's bench one day.
Details: Ahead of the crucial Champions League clash against Inter, Atletico boss Diego Simeone admitted he wouldn't mind managing the Milanese side in the future.
Simeone, who played for Inter from 1997 to 1999, expressed his respect for the Nerazzurri, praising their consistency, structure, and attacking football.
"They have a fantastic squad, they play with personality and have a clear attacking identity. Their Champions League record speaks for itself: two finals and a spot among the favourites," the Argentine coach noted.
Although Simeone is under contract with Atletico until 2027 and there are no imminent plans for a coaching change at Inter, his remarks are being seen as a clear hint at potential future developments.
"In my coaching career, I can see myself as Inter's manager one day. I think it will happen," Simeone said.
Reminder: Atletico president Enrique Cerezo has stated that Los Colchoneros striker Julian Alvarez wants to remain at the Madrid club.
