Real Madrid has officially announced the departure of Dani Ceballos. The club and the midfielder have mutually agreed to terminate their partnership, with both parties previously reaching an agreement to end the contract.
Details: Ceballos has been with the Madrid side since 2017, making 215 appearances for the first team.
During his seven seasons with Real, the Spanish midfielder was part of one of the most successful eras in the club’s history. With Los Blancos, he claimed 16 trophies, including three Champions League titles, four FIFA Club World Cups, and three UEFA Super Cups.
Ceballos’s trophy haul also features two La Liga championships, a Copa del Rey, and three Spanish Super Cups. Although the midfielder wasn’t always a guaranteed starter, he remained a vital part of the squad and consistently earned the coach’s trust throughout a packed schedule.
In its official statement, Real Madrid thanked Ceballos for his dedication and professionalism, and wished him and his family success in the next phase of his career.
The final message from the Madrid club was especially emotional:
“Real Madrid was, is, and always will be his home. Now a new chapter begins for Ceballos, while Real closes another page in its championship era.”
