Details: According to The Independent, Manchester City are eyeing Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández as one of their top targets to strengthen the central line following Rodri's departure.
The London club have no intention of letting their 25-year-old Argentine go on the cheap. Reports indicate that Chelsea value Fernández at around £120 million—roughly €140 million.
Initially, Manchester City’s interest was directly linked to the uncertainty surrounding Rodri. Now, that scenario has become even more relevant: on August 7, news broke that the Spanish midfielder’s move to Barcelona for €50 million was completed.
However, the race for Enzo might not be straightforward. Real Madrid could also turn their attention to the Argentine. The Madrid giants had previously considered Rodri and could now shift their focus to Chelsea’s star.
It’s worth noting that last season, Enzo Fernández made 50 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions, scoring 13 goals and providing 6 assists. Transfermarkt currently values the Argentine at €100 million.
