Pape Gueye could leave Villarreal during this summer’s transfer window. The Senegalese international’s profile has caught the eye of several clubs.
Having enjoyed a fine season in La Liga and a strong World Cup, which was hosted this summer in the United States, Canada and Mexico, the 27-year-old Senegalese player is attracting interest from beyond Europe.
A Saudi club is now reportedly among the suitors for Pape Gueye. The club in question is Al Ahli SC, winners of the Asian Champions League in the 2024–2025 season. The Saudi club is said to be strongly interested in the 27-year-old Senegalese player.
Al Ahli SC, which competes in the Saudi Pro League, is said to be considering Pape Gueye as one of its options for this summer’s transfer window. However, the Saudi club’s management has reportedly not yet taken any official steps to sign the Senegalese midfielder.
It is worth noting that Pape Gueye was named the best African player in La Liga last season thanks to his performances for Villarreal.
