Officially confirmed! Celta announce signing of Manchester United goalkeeper
Celta have officially completed a deal to strengthen their goalkeeping ranks ahead of the new season.
Details: Spanish side Celta have formally announced the signing of 28-year-old Turkish goalkeeper Altay Bayındır from Manchester United. The shot-stopper joins the Vigo club on an initial loan deal until the end of the current campaign.
Reports indicate that the agreement between the two clubs includes an option to buy. Celta will have the right to make the Turkish national team player’s move permanent from the Red Devils for £3.5 million.
Bayındır joined Manchester United in 2023 from Fenerbahçe for €5 million. He made 17 appearances for the Red Devils, conceding 31 goals and keeping three clean sheets. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value stands at €5 million.
