Jose in a rage! Mourinho's return to Real kicks off with a high-profile transfer scandal
Jose Mourinho quickly realized that his second coming at the Santiago Bernabeu would be anything but peaceful.
Details: According to insider Sergi Valentin, Real Madrid head coach Jose Mourinho is furious over the developments surrounding the potential transfer of Spanish midfielder Rodri. The Portuguese tactician had been counting on bringing in another midfielder to bolster the center of the park, but the club's management rejected several of the names personally suggested by the coach.
Instead of Mourinho's options, the Madrid bosses have focused entirely on negotiations for the Manchester City holding midfielder. Now, with the Rodri deal hanging by a thread, the Portuguese manager risks being left without the key midfield signing he was counting on this summer.
According to Transfermarkt, the current market value of the 30-year-old Spaniard Rodri is 55 million euros.
Reminder: BREAKING: Rodri announces his next move. Barcelona or Real Madrid?
