According to Broto, Flamengo will try to sign Vinicius on a free transfer if the player decides not to renew his contract with Real Madrid.
"The door is always open for him. His contract is running out, so we won't have to pay Real anything," Broto said.
Vinicius is a Flamengo academy graduate and made the move to Real Madrid from the Brazilian club for €45 million in 2018. During his time at Flamengo, Vinicius Junior played 69 matches, scoring 14 goals and providing 5 assists.
This season, Vinicius has featured in 33 matches for Real Madrid, netting 8 goals and delivering 11 assists. His current contract with Real runs until the summer of 2027, and his transfer value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €150 million.
